Jon is (or was) a cartoonist - we were told so at the very beginning of the strip. Oddly enough, Jim Davis must’ve thought it funnier to keep Jon’s place in the work force a mystery.

Oh, the lost opportunities that choice led to. :))

No Joe … I’d say Garfield believes “Better to GIVE to HIM, than receive his ire”!

Garfield never thinks about giving a little something back to Jon. He’s totally selfish but I don’t think we’d have him any other way.

Garfield is patriotic and wants to help the ailing retail and credit industry.

Pacejv said, about 8 hours ago: “Much Grass”= Thank you (in Spanish).

    No, Pacejv. “Much Grass” = Much stuff for smoking ( ^ o ^ )

BTW, “Muchas gracias” in spanish, could be pronounced like:

    “Moo-chazz grass-ee-ass”

    “Muchos…” = “un titipuchal de …” = “un chorro de …” = “retehartos …” = “así de…” = Plenty of…

Garfield believes it’s better to give than to receive - he’d just rather have others do the giving… to him.
