Old Garfield is right about things changing since 1978: the income gap widened (richest 1% make more money, poor and middle class make less), technology has gotten better with computers but we lost a lot of jobs to automation or the conglomerates outsourced those jobs to China, children are getting fatter and fatter, global warming has increased, our water and air are more polluted than before.
