This reminded me of Beauty and the Beast. Story Time, People! Belle’s father went in search for treasure or work or something. He asked his three daughters what they wanted him to bring back for them. The first two were greedy, and asked for pearls and gold. When he asked Belle, all she wanted was a single red rose. So in a twisted way, Garfield is Belle, the beauty.
