I went down a chute for the last time about 2 years ago. It was not opaque, and had various patterns in the plastic, the result of which was quite psychedelic. I fell into (and ignored) 2 condition warnings – I was over the maximum age and take blood pressure medicine. After a brief time I closed my eyes and went with the flow, then exulted in the splashdown when the ride was over.
I went on one on our last cruise. The problem was it was really just for kids – the water pressure was low enough not to push them to fast but not enough to move my 155lbs. I sort of had to drag myself to the opening and then into the pool. My husband laughed the whole time, all 6 feet of him made it with no trouble.
