Lovers of Toy Fox Terriers call this, “The Zoomies” Fred!
I’d never heard that expression, but apparently it’s a real thing:https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=funny%205%20minutes
When I was a kid, we had a basset hound that could absolutely run for miles. She took off after a bear one time and Dad didn’t catch up to her until a few hours later.
All dogs love to run !
My greyhounds would do tornado dances. Like zoomies, but in smaller areas.
One day he’s racing around chasing non-existent bunnies, the next day he’s just exhausted!
Seeing that this strip takes place in England, Fred is an anti-watch dog.He runs counter-clock wise. ;o)
Our mini-dachsies were normally sedentary. But once in a while, one would get a case of the “zoomies” and start running in circles around the living room. The other would join in. Usually they would end up crashing into each other, causing a bit of “run rage” with growling and an occasional snap of teeth, at which time hubby or I would have to intervene, after we stopped laughing.
