In the US, it could have been a porcupine, a much larger animal with quills that have barbs that make them very difficult to remove from dogs. Sometimes they end up in a dog’s nose. Not sure if porcupines are in the UK.
Yorky, you’ve just ruined the hedgehogs nice comfy place for the night. Now he has go find another and time is awasting.
