I hope Batman doesn’t have to go too badly. That costume would be difficult to get off in a hurry. He would be pretty flush by the time he got it off.
Well, if he can’t get to the bat room, he may just have to wing it!
Esoteric? You want esoteric? Just ask Jack Paar about W.C. humor. (My, that was a long time ago! I have to stop thinking of 1990 as recent.)
There are plenty of toilets on W.C. Fields.
To Quote “Shazam”: “Super Powers? Dude, I don’t even know how to pee in this thing!”
But the lcd label is showing up more frequently in comics like these. Showed up at least twice today and in only a dozen comics samples. And Frazz’s conclusion applies how?
Still pretty low
Esoteric is esoteric. From a conversation yesterday:
me: No one would understand that approach. It’s too esoteric.
him: I don’t know what ‘esoteric’ means.
cf. today’s “Close To Home”
I’m sure he’s got an app . . Or tube for that.
If you’re gunna go, then guona go.
And the difference between weird and eccentric is a few million dollars.
I wouldn’t have guessed that Mallett might have Frazz make the distinction he has in the last panel. Credit where it’s due: that’s wise. Just because you know and appreciate some thing that no one else knows about, that doesn’t make that thing intrinsically better, or you extra special.
Robin: “We have too many ‘bat’ items.”Batman: “No we don’t!”Robin: “What do you use to wash your hair?”Batman:“… Well yeah, I might use Bat-shampoo.”Batman: “But I also use Conditioner Gordon.”

And there, my friends, you have the essence of it all: A toilet gag with a word like “esoteric.” What could be more Frazz than that?
I might have an answer: the fact that the cartoonist wasted valuable deadline, swimming, dog-walking or coffee-making time trying to figure out if there was something that could be done with the fact that you can just about combine “sophisticated” with “esoteric” to make “sophomoric.”
THAT is the essence of it all.
still do not know what WC Comics are. Have read most Comics availiable to me for 55 years, Why Does Love Have to Be So Hard? Go Scherzo
