My mom had dementia. She thought if she bought their junk from their phone people she had a greater chance of winning. She was buying $400. a month from Pch’s friendly young folks.

How did he pay for it then?

It’s called marketing. There is one born every minute. You can count on that.Internet spam is the ultimate expression of that. It costs pennies to reach millions of people, but nobody would spend those pennies if there weren’t some takers. People are gullible; some will believe things even when faced with facts to the contrary.

A Hershey truck? Couldn’t you at least get one from a chocolate company?

Now the chocolate bar hits the fan.

I think in a later strip, one of the things on Peter’s bedroom wall in the background reads, “Peter Fox is our next $10 million winner!”

That will be the vendor’s problem. Jason is a minor. Neither he or his parents can be held liable for any large order he made. The vendor should have done some research. They would have found that Jason had no resources to pay for the delivery.

someone needs to read Aesop’s fables, this is a textbook application of counting your chickens before they hatched.

I wonder how this otherwise brilliant kid could fall for such an obvious scam.
