Peter’s gonna have himself some great in-laws someday!

That won’t even slow him down, girlfriend.

Wow! Just how often is it that a girl’s parents like her boyfriend that much???

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I’m loving this relationship.

Son! Take your cap off at the dinner table! This isn’t McDonald’s!!

Her daughter is blind, and Peter treats her like a queen. With all his faults, there’s something there for a future mother-in-law to love.

And mother-in-laws LOVE to feed everyone… :) I miss my ex-mother-in-law, she cooked so well…

You know, I like this strip. It’s really cute and has some good humor. But the first thing I do when I open it each morning is ask, “OK, who are they?” I have to figure out if it’s Jason, Peter or the old man because they all look alike. Today the sunglasses on the girlfriend gave it away.

That looks like a good appetizer for Peter. When’s the main course?

@davidf - that’s easy - hat = Peter. lots of hair = Jason. no hair = dad.

Hats off at the table Peter! You’re not sloppin’ the hogs. (er..I guess you’re the one being slopped, but that’s beside the point).

With all Bill’s strips showing that Peter has a bottomless pit for a stomach, this meal shouldn’t be a problem. I agree: Peter should show respect and remove his hat. Come to think of it, I can’t recall a panel where I’ve seen Peter without his hat. Hmmmmm.

You know, maybe I should get you guys to tell my mother’s boyfriend to take his bleeep cap off his head at the dinner table… I hate it, it’s dingy and has seen better days… but that’s not necessarily the point… it’s common decency… and it’s the way I was brought up… Ugh…

I like how the bill of the hat folds up when they turn to each other to whisper. Yes, should be taken off, but in the sense of character recognition, probably why it is there.

My parents were thrilled with the guy I ended up marrying. Mom said compared to the guys I had dated before him, he looked wonderful. Mom did whatever she could to encourage our relationship. Guess it worked - it was 25 years ago yesterday that we got married. (We also provided her with her only grandchildren.)

Peter doesn’t treat her like she’s blind. He’s showing the thoughtful man he can grow up to be. That shows hope for all teens.
