Jason: Connecticut Avenue? I'll take that. St. James Place? I'll buy that too. Yes! Yes! Yesssss! I got all four railroads!
Peter: You're playing Monopoly by yourself??
Jason: Call me a purist.
At least this way he can’t lose.
If by “purist,” you mean “dunderhead” …
How does he make money to buy these properties if there’s no one else to land on them and pay him rent? I would think it more likely that Jason would come up with some sort of capitalistic revisions to the game so that he could more quickly become rich.
It’s not that hard. All you need is time since you will get money every turn by passing GO…
Well, rayannina, he is playing monopoly. By definition, a monopoly is one person in control of everything.
Wow, metawarr566, that is extremely insightful!!!!!
But then there is another word for what Jason is doing which also begins with the letter “M”
Monoploly without the hassle of beating other players/business competitors, just like a good republican,
3rd panel, priceless
He took out all the “Chance” and “Community Chest” cards that require him to pay money, and kept the ones such as “You have won second prize in a beauty contest! Collect $10”.
That’d be cheating. and worse yet, he’d only be cheating himself.
it is never cheating…it is changing the rules to your advantage
