My Mom was such a sore loser at any game. I used to let her win just to keep her from getting angry. The game within the game was letting her win without her ever suspecting.

The reason why nobody wants to play chess with Roger.

Been a while since we’ve had a chess comic!

Roger looks like he has more hair since I’ve seen him last. Semi-retirement has done him well.

Jason needs to utterly crush him so that the mere memory of the event is enough that Roger will never ask for another match.

Jason just give dad a break for Father’s Day, make dad think he really won.To the dad’s out there including my hubby, Happy Father’s Day, Though I call it Happy Daddy’s Day.

My hubby and I went to church for his daddy’s day, each dad received a free gift.

Has Roger ever noticed he can play chess against the computer ( definitely need the easiest setting, Roger) instead of torturing family members?

Today’s strip reminds me of Josh Waitzkin playing his dad in “ Searching For Bobby Fischer”.

In chess, Fool’s Mate, also known as the Two-Move Checkmate, is the checkmate in the fewest possible number of moves from the start of the game. This can be achieved only by Black, who can deliver checkmate on move 2 with the queen.

At least Jason was black.
