Pro-athletes are not over paid in fact they are underpaid, especially in football where the owners have been able to break the players’ union. In a free market pay is determined by supply (number of people qualified to do the job) and demand. There is a limited number of players with the skill that justifies 60,000 people paying $100 a ticket to watch or tv networks paying billions to broadcast.Back before free agency for players players’ compensation was lower as were owners’ profits.
The sad part is Foxtrot family can consume all that pizza and really not gain much on weight.I found out another family as ours will not be watching. We do not watch sports no football. I think another family does not either.
Roger Fox is a piker when it Super Bowl gluttony. Dagwood Bumstead not only order pizzas, he had multiple large bowls of chips & popcorn etc., made himself a huge kettle of chili, as well as chicken wings, hot dogs and pulled pork.
“In 2009, 360-pound nose guard Terrence Cody wanted to stay on the field in passing situations and rush the passer, but Alabama football coach Nick Saban told ‘Mount Cody’ that he needed to drop to or below 350 pounds to be a so-called ‘rabbit.’” — https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2012/08/tides_big_jesse_williams_is_in.html

Excuses. Excuses. Some people can eat anything without gaining weight while others gain weight just by looking at the food.
