Meters, yards, what difference does it make. We all know Peter won’t catch the ball anyways and Jason can’t throw.

Canada’s been using it since the ‘70’s. Took some adjusting, but it is infinitely a better system of measuring.

On american standard vs, metric I agree with Arlo Guthrie: metric isn’t as poetic. Centimeter by centimeter, row by row gonna make this garden grow.??? And i am not going to walk into a bar and order a .5 liter, its a pint or nothing.

Here in Canada we don’t order beer by the litre either. And btw, you’re getting shorted in your pints :)

This is the third time in the last few months I have heard talk of metric conversion re-surfacing in America. Probably would be a good thing from my point of view. I never quite got our current system down.

The only thing about the metric system that is better is speed!80 KMH sound much faster then 50 MPH. But on the other side 100 miles sound much closer then 160 KM. In the metric system the Heywood Banks song Inches, Feet, Miles would not make sense if called CM, M, KM. Last point, it would cost tooo much $$ to change over and our Government is struggling with our money as it is.

If you’re going to talk Canadian metric, you have to consult the experts on the matter: Bob & Doug McKenzie - http://www.losergeek.org/~niklas/bobanddoug.com/sounds/gwn/mtrcbeer.wav

If you can find the whole album somewhere, listen to the Coffee Shop skit. This is just a clip I could find.

Would it even make a difference? Like if Jason said to go 10 meters and Peter went 10 yards, would it really noticably change anything?
