It’s not the cellulite that floats….

I looked at the first panel and thought I was reading 9 Chickweed Lane for a minute…

Got to admit that ‘Elly’(for being ‘over 40 and a Mother to three children isn’t bad looking in that suit) ! ! ! !

Garfield floats on top of the water because of fat.

I have no trouble floating and swimming with built-in water wings.

Reminds me of the opening sequence of the old 1960’s TV show “Flipper”..

Boobs are buoyant. Yup, even mens.

And huge noses can pass for gills.

Temperature is over 30 here today – I’d love to be where Elly is!

Wait ‘til you’re 40 over 40, plus 40 lbs.

Funny story, My wife and I used to take MIL on vacation with us and our son. When we would go into the pools MIL’s butt would never go under the water no matter how hard she tried and she is a very small skinny woman with NO butt. We always thought it was funny. Since MIL was diagnosed with dementia there were no more vacations and now that my wife died in March there never will be. :(

My Mom was a pretty good swimmer, even up into her 60s. She grew up doing it. In the days before municipal pools, there was actually an elementary school down the street from her that had an outdoor pool. But my Dad would never go near the water.

This kinda reminds me of the time Elly was eating the watermelon. Both swimming and watermelon eating done by Elly is best done when she is alone.

Whatever helps.

I’ve never been able to swim. As a boy scout scoutmaster, I’ve always been embarrassed each summer at our camp when, on the first day, everyone is required to take their swim test in order to participate in water sports. Every summer – never passed. Except by fat 11 year olds who swim by me.

That reminds me — swimming lessons at the YMCA next month.

Being able to float doesn’t make one a good swimmer.

You feel more confident about your swimming because you are no longer being scrutinized.

And that she’ll never run out of hot air!

For me I have more then she does on fat, I remember having swimming in HS, yet never been back to a pool; therefore I doubt I can swim.

Cellulite is a positive?

Don’t be so hard on yourself ma’am, you are perfect!
