Piggy back rides work a lot better if you don’t have the child straddling your purse.

Leave that to John. Men have broader shoulder and the stamina to carry older children.

Elizabeth isn’t even carrying the pile of books kids have to carry.

Enjoy the piggyback rides while you still can. It seems like the blink of an eye going from there to “Daddy, can I use the car?”. They grow up SO fast….

I freaked out my 13-year-old daughter by showing that I can STILL lift her…even though she’s taller than I am now.

Panel #2. Michael is a ______ . Inquiring minds want to know how 5 year-old Lizzie describes her brother.

I have a granddaughter who just turned 10 and while I tell myself she’ll never be too big to sit in my lap or take on a piggyback ride, I know that day is coming…and I’m rather dreading it because that’ll mean I’M getting older too.

“Turn Around” by Malvina Reynolds, preferably Danny Kaye’s version.
