yeah, don’t want to waste food
In the Army we had just gotten civilian KP’s, I walked in one day and saw a KP women dumping half empty glasses of OJ back into the OJ dispenser, never drank OJ again there
It’s just organic packing material.
I hope they pick out all the other bits before the next screening.
Good thing I never buy popcorn when I go to the movies.
I tasted movie popcorn once. Given how it tasted, this seems entirely plausible.
In high school I ushered in a movie theater. The popcorn machine was fake. A mechanical arm tossed already popped corn into the air. Large bales of popcorn was stored in the rat infested basement. They sampled the popped corn. Even now, 60 years later, I do not eat popcorn.
I worked as an usher years ago. One duty was to go to the rat infested basement and bring up the pre-popped popcorn and put it into the machine, here the counter girl made it look like it was coming out of the popper. I told the manager that the rats and mice kept getting into bagss, but he toldme to do as I was told or go work elsewhere. I eventually did leave, but never bought popcorn at a theatre again.
And abattior sweepings….?
Candid Camera did a stunt like this once, where the theater employee would pour popcorn from old, crumpled up bags into the customer’s bag.
At the price they get for it, I’m surprised there is any on the floor at all.
a new kind of Popcorn surprise!
I knew it!
What’s funny about this? I assume they do that.
When you go to the early show, it sometimes tastes like it was floor sweepings. :)
I’ve always wondered if they do this.
I don’t like to eat during a movie, but I also don’t like paying— what is it now, $25? — for 30 cents worth of popcorn.
Well that just ruined eating popcorn at a theater for me. Next you’ll be telling me they repackage the errant Dots candies!
i worked at a movie theater decades ago. we popped popcorn upstairs and brought large bags to the concession counter. it tasted amazing just out of the kettle. later they changed the type of oil and it just wasn’t the same. popcorn is so expensive because that’s how theaters make their money.
Isn’t everyone into recycling?
If you keep doing this the manager will get a big bonus check.
