as a physics graduate myself, I can tell you, this is a true story
Reminds me of Physics Prof. Solomon of 3rd Rock From The Sun!!!
They’re coming to take him away, Ho Ho ha ha hee hee…
-to finish his book, PBS documentary and speaking tour. Much more relaxing.
….from his faculties!
My first and second first semester calculus professors were like that. They couldn’t get that the students were new at it and needed more than just a bunch of equations thrown at them. Third time was a PhD TA. He knew his stuff, and He Understood That We Didn’t. He really took the time to explain why and how it worked. When we would suggest a way to solve a problem, even if it wasn’t going to work (he would tell us up front), he would go along the path we chose, and explain where the problem in our logic was. We all did really well in that class, because he taught it at our level.
To explore his new career as a mad scientist!
