Girl says, "How did you get the name Twig?" Twig says, "My mom said I was the first twig off the family tree. It stuck." Girl says, "Do you get weird reactions?" Twig says, "Yeah. But don't you get weird reactions to Ingrid?" Girl says, "What's weird about being named after my German Granny?" Twig says, "Umm...." Twig says, "I'm not supposed to be surprised, am I?" Girl says, "Not if you're named after a tree."
At a diversity, equity, and inclusion class this morning, the instructor gave the example of asking “What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?” One person’s answer may be another’s staple.
