I think I went to that wedding…. only… no… wait…. it was two lesbians…
One performed an interpretive dance in her wheelchair while her bride (my friend) sat on the floor playing the zither…
and her two children from her previous marriage “danced” around them waving palm fronds.
Then my friend did her own interpretive dance while the wheelchair bride read a poem she’d written.
Guests were asked to compose poems, as well, about them, to read aloud at the ceremony….
luckily not everybody did cos it was over two hours anyway.
I am not making any of this up!
