A rational Topsider! Kill it before it infects all of us!

Uh…yeah…a minute here guys…just landed; jet lag you know….

You know the saying: “by the skin of our teeth”? Well…

Wow. Those eyes in Panel 4. I’ve never seen eyes like them, ever.

I’m wondering who’s more scared or startled-the topsiders or Wally and crew.;-D

Nope, they’re pretty much scared out of their wits, especially Duffy…

Maybe they’re the topsiders from the another world that doesn’t kill mutants?

In answering his question Wally holds up one toothbrush…..”Say Hi.”

What’s the matter guys? “CATS” got their tongues?? (sorry…HAD to say it!) ;-)

Looks like Wally’s contemplating his next move.

Yeah, someone’s a bit… cat-atonic.

Are we gonna address the elephant in the room?….

I really hope that Duffy gets to meet Chic again, if only to apaologize to him for calling Chic “nameless”. Chic lived through experiences like this after meeting Wally…AFTER being hatched into a colony that would have eaten Chic if not for intervention by his biological father— who was probably pushed into that by Chic’s mother. Chic was still threatened with it often.

Don’t forget Duffy is super scared of topsiders.

“Amesworth? You know old expression about one becoming many? That’s Amesworth, now. Many toothbrushes…”

So, big question: did the dittos make it through, too?

Will “they” believe what happened to Amesworth?

What will “they” do to our heroes? Right now, our only clue is that last panel, “I don’t think they’re in any mood to talk just yet.”

But the other two panels are alarming – Topsiders are not known to be forgiving – especially of “mutants.”

I doubt it works on Topsiders, Duffy, even if it works on “haints”.

Vell, ve haf ways of making dem talk…

Heh, they didn’t ask: " which one of you is Dr. Amesworth?".

Where’s Doctor Amesworth? She’s gone. But perhaps some memorial…plaque..would be appropriate.

She is probably dead. She seemed to be quite ill. Like all her insides came out through her mouth.

Where’s Doctor Amesworth? -- She went to pieces when all hell broke out.

What did you do with her? We didn’t do anything with her. She became part of that thing that says it is God. Duffy here made it let us go. You guys got anything to drink? It’s been a long dry spell for us.
