I’m guessing the amulet that Kirbee gave Chic will come into play right now. Chic can chuck that amulet right into Jim/Shelob’s open mouth, if Chic can muster a moment’s notice courage.

Yep. He saw the topsider. But I still don’t get why Duffy’s brother was killed. Did they get a body?

Schism Jim (taken over by I) is back to finish the job he started in Unity.

I don’t think this incident has anything to do with the topsider directly. This is a ditto apparition, but the question is, who’s controlling them? Could be Wally’s subconscious and this is some sort of nightmare, but why would Wally’s nightmare attack Chic? I get the feeling someone else might be in control and maybe pulled this image from Wally’s memory. Strange :-/

Okay, it has a ring tail. It’s Schism Jim. Or maybe The Thing Jim. It’s hard to tell.

There are better tools in the kitchen than a broom.

The monster must be in the mood for a little chicken tenders.

Racoon tail confirms it’s Jim, either Wally’s subconscious version or the god one from the air vent…

Wally didn’t see Jim-thing up close. Neither did Kirbee. Their minds could not supply these details for dittos to harvest. But Chic was face-to-face with the Jim-thing. His mind could surely be a source for this imagery. And Chic’s mind would conjure the Jim-thing attacking him (it had done so in real life, after all). But, someone else also witnessed the previous attack. Irving. If Irving was having a nightmare, his fears might conjure this thing attacking Chic, his best friend. And, since he’s a “bug”, he might cross Jim-thing with a spider. Where is Irving, anyway? LOL…just guessing.

Kudos to Kirbee for bravery under pressure. But why would, much less how would, Jim/Whatever be here targeting Chic?

Actually, and I could be completely wrong, the whole situation seems tailored to Chic’s emotional state. Loving parental substitutes, a stable entirely too good to be true environment, then the slow deterioration into madness.

Suck Chic in, lull him into believing that everything is “awesome”, then rip his mind apart. An emotional hurricane. Lots of fuel in that.

Still trying to fit the finger thing and that comic book into it, though.

I really need to go to bed, but this thought just occurred to me. The Fitzgerald had been luring victims in for what appears to be months if not years.

I’m thinking that everything that happened after they entered the field in the cabin with the food, all appeared to work out in Chic’s favor. Get rid of the emotionally unstable mouse (sorry, Holly [my favorite character]), establish a romance between Wally and Kerby (substitute patents), make “Dad” into a hero, coincidentally totally getting rid of Holly, create a stable dwelling place, then rip it all away.

And the Fitz just vanished. How does a mega multigrain crashed ship obviously close to fuel-less just suddenly pop off into nothingness. Was Holly THAT powerful a fuel source? Never mind the insane, yet devious, AI.

Then we get Wally in his own nightmare, just before we get introduced to June Cleaver and the Beaver bunch…

Okay, I need some sleep, minus Jim the wacko spider raccoon.

Oooooo, and I’m sensing some “Die Hardiness” to come from Wally and crew when they wake up. Especially from Wally, hmmm, and/or maybe Holly?

    BED, old man! Now!

I think Chic’s Haint charm is going to slip out of his shirt and stop the monster in his tracks. (That or Irving will save the day).
