This is so cool.
You better believe it!
Well if these guys went through what they did, maybe what Holly is going through will finally shake her back out of herself!
Mr. Computer wants food. Nom-nom-nom.
Poor chic is going to have some serious PTSD…
Now to find the “battery” with the most potential for overheating and exploding.
At least they now have a neat way of getting around! And I’m glad they have found each other!
I’m saying after all we’ve seen, Holly should be about to explode, and the AI isn’t going to give up without a fight.
I love that 1st panel! The nose to nose, snout to muzzle thingy. I wish there was no love triangle, it can be hard enough for just 2 people.
“things start to get difficult” That is one tough cat.
I’m starting to really hate the dittos.
Given that Holly is probably already aware of whats going on between Kirbee and Wally, she might choose to stay on the ship even if she realizes she might waste away like that anthro avian we saw.
The sad thing is that Holly seemed to be getting better before they left Unity. Holly was engaged and seemed to be treating Chic as the son she never had. Then as they wandered away from that mess, she just started falling apart. I don’t know if it was Clive bring out the motherly dreams that were shattered in Hillside or that the thing that was developing between Wally and Kirbee made her feel threatened. Maybe that pushed her towards Clive. Its been sad to see our beloved mouse waitress fall apart, and I can only hope that she will get better.
Background: A couple years ago, Dick Tracy revived the Moon Maid, a character from the days of Chester Gould, the original artist. Complications: At one time, Moon Maid was married to Junior, Dick Tracy’s adopted son. Currently, Junior is married to Sparkle. Before the big reveal, it was entertaining to consider, what about the rights of a woman and her marriage IF she had been declared legally dead – by mistake. The big reveal: This Moon Maid is not the original.
Fast forward to Endtown: Wally is married to Holly, who has disappeared. Kirby is with us, and it is clear that Kirby has feelings for Wally. I’m not into exploring adultery, per se, so I’m glad nothing has developed between them, thus far. But Holly has since disappeared and her fate, thus far, is equally unknown.
In my humble opinion, I would love to explore the possibility that, for an extended period of time, we and Wally are allowed to believe that Holly is dead, and the relationship between Wally and Kirby is allowed to expand. Remembering that Aaron’s tale of a couple weeks in lizard land took over two years to tell, this ought not to be difficult. Then let Holly return.
The looks on Chics and Kirbeys face when they see the bubble palace….
Holly’s the one they want.
Well, to be fair… They didn’t get to enjoy the Jacuzzi.
Start to get difficult?! Hasn’t ‘difficult’ applied to — oh, just about everything that has occurred in Endtown, from the getgo? If previous events were ‘easy,’ I can only imagine the doozy that ‘difficult’ will be.
Holly is actually sitting in the green room, eating M&Ms and binge-watching Oprah on the big screen. She doesn’t want to leave until she gets current on the show.
difficult is probably an understatement…only wonder what could’ve happened to holly already…
Maybe Holly ends up deciding to stay in the fantasy world – hopefully not though.
Hats off Aaron! loves the ears in panel two…..Angery cats ears fer shure!
Cue music to “Triad” by David Crosby.
It’s Doc Ock! A cameo by Dr. Octopus from Spiderman. Or Dr. Dittopus, maybe.
Wally’s ears are missing in panel 1. some times anthros practically lose their ears as if they are all ditto constructs.
Oh, Thanks Richard, I was barely awake when I wrote that.
