Good thing there was room in Holly’s backseat for her invisible friends…

Drakesville. Named after the 18th century politician “Drake the Snake”. He was a really nice guy. He just happened to be one of the very first anthro mutants, and therefore people tended to remember him better than the other politicians he ran against.

It looks like Holly’s returning all the gifts. And an airliner isn’t supposed to be there.

It seems Holly always has to keep something tied down on her. Here it’s the scarf, before (later?) it was the apron.

I find the juxtaposition of the airplane with the cars just a tad…disturbing. For some reason.

Why would flying cars need a round steering wheel? They don’t have any wheels to turn! I could see a joystick maybe.

If you look carefully at the pods on Holly’s car you will note that her air car is also propeller driven. I doubt that there is a minimum airspeed for the air car as there are no airfoils for lift. Anti-gravity?

What I see rather odd is all the baby shower gifts are in the back seat……two things.One…..this strip is out of order……it was suppose to be Friday and Friday was suppose to be Monday…..if she is heading home from the shower dodging the 307 Stratoliner (just a guess)Two…..she is taking many of the presents back as returns…..not good enough for her.But that view of that plane behind her is very ominous.

She may have been out shopping: that appears to be a grocery bag by her side…Maybe she has just noticed the airplane where it doesn’t belong….The suspense is killing me.

Could be that the plane is not a passenger craft but a bomber…jus’ sayin’…

Boss, de plane bothers me a bit, as well. Revised Vertical Separation Minimums, the space aircraft have to maintain between themselves and others, have decreased, largely due to the advances in avionics. IANA pilot, aircraft or aeronautical engineer, G&A mechanic, or even an excellent automobile driver. However I thought that an airplane’s ability to accomplish lift made the air below the wings quite turbulent, and difficult to negotiate. In other words, if a airborne plane were close to other flying machines, it could cause problems. I suspect the airplane is a B-29 type aircraft, and the sheer size of the plane and the perspective makes it look a lot closer to the flying cars than expected. The Enola Gay was is a B-29. It is huge. And I still suspect anti gravity is a thing in this iteration of reality. The props on Holly’s car, combined with the shape of the vehicle, doesn’t appear to be capable of producing a lot of lift. And those props would make it difficult to pull into a parking space. Drakesville? Kirbee is Amish? That could explain her baking.

I’m reading the conversation and find it very interesting, unable to put themselves in each others shoes they are each envious of the others experience. Both of them have a view that has helped them cope with what they have been through. Now, however, they have both seen coping mechanisms that are different. Seeing a need for growth and change they are starting to look at different methods to get through their strange experiences. I’ve been thinking that those two might end up together and this might be the start of that relationship.

I think that Endtown has more engineers, people who are experts on planes, knowledgable about government, war, in other words people who are extremely intelligent, than any other comic.I’m so impressed by Aaron N. and his genius and the people who love Endtown.

Kirbee may envy Wally because Hillside was not such a loss for him while Drakesville was a great loss for her. Not just the town itself, but the people she loved who lived there. She may not realized how better off she was to have had something so precious, than Wally was with no one to call home. (sic)

I don’t think Kirbee cares all that much about material wealth. Her answer to Chic’s question about wealth was to suggest that sometimes those who have “everything” don’t appreciate what they have.I could easily see Kirbee missing the people she lost when it all ended, she seems to care about people and probably loved the friends she used to know. Maybe she wishes she didn’t miss them so much.

Perhaps Flight 666 has experienced a cockpit metamorphosis and is now on the Highway to Hades … Iron Maiden’s plane? Is Bruce Dickinson flying? Or is that Finn Air’s regularly scheduled flight from COP to HEL?
