Basically, neither of these two dolts are going to “win” at all, unless Abby does something to intervene and present a viable third option.
What irks me the most about this isn’t so much them ruling Colin can’t spend that extra free time playing video games, its that Len (at least) does nothing to try and encourage him to pursue other, more constructive, activities instead if he isn’t going to do baseball. Indeed, Len presents it all as rather like blackmail, trying to get Colin to agree to the baseball anyway under duress, because of course he is.
