That’s right; the senator is supposed to cut taxes for the rich then say they can’t afford to take care of the poor. It’s the conservative way.
The last politician that admitted that he was going to raise taxes in a debate was Walter Mondale.
The rich have lawyers and overseas investments to hide their money. Who cares about some ineffective tax the government may, or may not impose on them. I just want the Government to stop spending so much money and use what I am giving them better.

I wouldn’t worry about the Senator not being too bright. I’d question the intelligence of the people who elected him.
