Yes actually – looking up current pricing on concrete and steel sheet pile – given the “entire length” the wall would cost out at about $12 B -without labor, overhead, profit (don’t forget profit), Force majeure; and yes I know from whence I talk. So a good construction company would give an honest bid of $25-28B at minimum. But since this the govt. and a Repub one at that they will low ball and then go “back to the well” as we say. Reality I suspect under GOP rule would end up in the $30-35 Billion range. Or shall we say about 10,000 new schools. Most of out crumbling bridges fixed. Health Care anyone?
