It’s as if he took an old October cartoon panel and just changed the conversation bubbles.

Really odd/funny: My baby aspen tree is still losing its leaves. Down here in central FL, weather during January and February is very. . .inconsistent. Freezing one day, the next in the 80s. A lot of it, of course, is that we have no mountains at the top of Florida to stop wayward winds from the upper 47 from blowing down on us. . .STOP IT, YOU GUYS!

Either Norman is doing drugs and hallucinating, or else he is going to wake at the end of this story arc, and find out that this was all just a dream.

The generic strip, just substitute snowflakes for leaves and snowmen for pumpkins depending on the season. I liked this one, Kevin.

There is snow all over outside my house. I enjoy seeing this. Cartoonists are a good kind of weird.

One of my pin oaks just dumped most of its leaves – being 80 degf after the three days below freezing. Stupid tree – usually drops leaves in late March to mid April. The other is smarter and knows when Spring has really arrived.

The pumpkin. I am you got a point. The leaves well. The strip is portrayed in the Los Angeles area. Being in Santa Barbara I have seen leaves drop off close to this time of year. I look at southern California as a two-three-season area.

willispate, My guess is that if that pumpkin has been sitting there since Oct. then it is rotting big time.

Why does a cartoonist draw up several major snowstorms for a family living in Los Angeles?

I moved mine to the back porch a while back and the squirrels [and probably some nocturnal critters] snacked quite a bit; then I pitched the leftovers into the side yard. Every year I hope they’ll seed and make new plants…..maybe this year?
