Poor Wally. So eager to please.

Poor little puppy.

It’s because he trusts.

Go Wally…don’t listen to that cat!

Wally’s version of Charlie Brown and Lucy and the football. But even worse since Drabble is such a blockhead and he has a cat laughing at him.

Funnily meaner thing I’ve seen – Throwing snowballs for the dog to fetch.

Tell that to this cat.

We had a female cat who loved to chase the cigarette packaging of the day (which had both paper-backed foil and cellophane) when that was crinkled it would remain in a ball and made a nice crinkly noise that the cats liked, and could be thrown the length of the house. She would fetch it over and over.

And more yet – she was seen “teaching” that skill to her kittens (batting it with her foot and "brrr"ing at them to go and get it).

This is why Wally is not at the top of the food chain

I have had 9 wiener dogs and ALL would fall for this fake throwing the ball (or squeaky toy). I had one dog though that never did…a poodle. Well, she fell for it one time and never again ;-)
