I think naval academy might be a little bit different than a “game.”

Jeff is not ready to face the real world.

A seal? Can he balance a ball on his nose or play “Old McDonald” on a row of trumpets??

When senior year in high school was coming to an end, I got a call from an Army recruiter asking if I had considered enlisting. I told him they got up too early for me. He didn’t have a response.

I think he could pull it off, DIs can be very motivating.

You have to suck up to a politician to get an appointment.

Up before dawn and lying down after the sun is long gone, and sometimes until the earth has gone around the sun a number of times.

And then there is He\\ week…..

Jeff, the most disliked character in the whole strip.

If you can’t become a real larger-than-life person you can always invent a fictional one and become an author.

Or become a Republican and run for office.

Those " guys " are super special for sure : )

Well before. And according to Admiral McRaven, they have to make their beds when they do.

Oddly enough, you have to be willing, and able, to do a lot of realy nasty stuff in order to be mean enough for people to think you’re cool.

Any day where you have to get up before the crack of noon is a deal-breaker for me.

A friend wanted to join and be a sniper. I asked her is she wanted to kill people? She was horrified at the thought,

I do more all day than most Marines do before 4AM!

Here in San Diego we have two Seal Teams plus the training base. If you are up early enough you can see the trainees running down the beach with a telephone pole on their shoulders. Ah, the fun memories Jeff will have before he washes out and rings the bell.

Yet jumping ahead to the present, I bet many here would jump at one of Jeff’s advance checks.

Up at 2 am and back in bed by noon. Or he could work at a 24 hour gas station.

Written 20 years before people were dying trying to become SEA:S because they were literally exercised to death.

And The Navy alibis by saying the dead people were weaklings;move on,nothing to see here.

Was he dying his hair at this age? Because later on, he’s a redhead like his dad.

He’s not going to survive academia, let alone the real world.

Makes me think of the dweeb who believed he would get into the Naval Academy on academics alone. He got the bright idea of going out for a sport his final HS semester.

I am intrigued by these entitled young people that believe they can attend some prestigious organization because they deserve it! Never mind they’ll do nothing to improve their eligibility.
