Level 1 Lies of counterfactual statements are really hard to sell. Any fool can check the facts. The politicians and lawyers mostly work at Level 2 of partial truth, though that’s quite a lot of work because you have to understand the truth before you can figure out which parts to cut. But the real pros like Bannon and Conway work at Level 3 where the deframing leaves you so confused afterwards that you can’t even figure out if you’ve stopped beating your wife yet.

Punchline. TFG is a Level 0 liar whose self-contradictions obviate any need for any kind of thinking to know there’s a lie there. The only funny part is when one lie from TFG is contradicted by an even bigger lie, sometimes in the same sentence. (In contrast, you can’t contradict two truths.)
