More likely the job will be outsourced to a private concern which makes copious donations to various reelection PACs with the actual work done in Guatemala or some such place.
He forgets to mention all cases of fraud discovered so far have been GOP.
So that’s where the Maytag repairman ended up!
People who can’t vote, can’t vote for the wrong candidate, sorry, I meant “fraudulently”.
4 our of 11 million? Hmmm. Sounds to me like something is working like it should.
Your taxpayers dollars at work.
Looks like they picked the wrong cop for the job, he is way too nice. Plus he is out of uniform, should be jack boots, totally black, shinny peak cap, deaths head and thunder flash markings in silver.
And those 4 are Republicans.
Florida, my Florida. Butt of all jokes, dangling dingus of America. :-(
That guy may not have a job for long thanks to DeSantis making Floridians pick up Disney’s tab because Disney spoke up against that vague and unconstitutional bill that was rushed through the state legislature and DeSantis signed into law. Pretty bad when someone makes Mouse, Inc. look like the good guys.
Four cases… and all folk who voted twice for 45 the way he asked them to.
Hanging chads were more interesting than this
Good old FloriDUH…
I guess right-wing populists were missing the Maytag repair guy.
And right about now, the right wingers will be grousing about how lefties politicize all the comics…oh wait a minute…today’s comic is political…
Re: Dead folks voting: on the chance they died after casting absentee ballots, it’s not fraud. Once the roll is compared to the death certificates that must be filed with the state, the votes are invalidated.
If fraud happened it’s a felony you need to report. But let’s ask, “how do YOU know?” Even if there were fraud, it’s on their data, not yours. No one would tell you. Relations only count in probate. So it comes back to “how do you know?” unless…..
It makes me giggle every time I hear someone try to their claim they know dead people who voted. What the wingers don’t think about making these accusations is that everyone else is asking, “how do you know they did?”
It’s not like you can just look it up on the web. First, you have to have valid evidence to suspect something is wrong to request the voter roles from the place they “voted.” Then live in a state that releases the information to the public, and includes voter history (not all do) as well as DOB (not all do) AND SSN numbers (none do) to be sure it isn’t just folks with the same name. All that info is not available to Joe Schmo. You have to be a qualified law enforcement/election official to get all the info.
Finally, to go to all that trouble, you first have to think to yourself, “Gee, I think my dead grandpa voted in the last election.” Who does that?
So, like belling the cat, the eye of suspicion is immediately cast on anyone claiming they “know” voter fraud was committed. As folks have mentioned, the serious intentional fraud has so far been committed by the folks with the biggest stake.
There is a likely reason they are so certain fraud happened and so upset it hasn’t been “found,” and it’s the old playground taunt: you smelt it, you dealt it. They knew he was likely to lose, so did they plant fraud to open a judicial path to a win? They just didn’t count on getting trounced so soundly that any “challenged” votes wouldn’t make a whit of difference to the outcome.
And, the thing is, those four voter fraud cases, were probably done by republicans.
That’s it! Brilliant!! The Government conspiracy is to subjugate the American People by …. hiring them. Oh My God(written all the way out for importance), slavery through gainful employment! Toe the line or be Fired.
By focusing public anger on the trivial, the heinous can be allowed to run amok. It’s all about controlling the masses.
From my 1985 hard copy of Webster’s, definition 2 of soldiering: to make a pretense of work while really loafing.
And we’re movin’ on. Eventually.
Does a florida election cop get to shoot unarmed civilians?
And those 4 votes came from the Twitler enclave in “The Villages”…
Republicans just want to take away your rights.
We always have some voter fraud, but it’s usually not enough to make a difference. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t look into it.
Florida governor DeSantis signs bill creating election police unit
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill Monday to create a police force dedicated to pursuing voter fraud and other election crimes, embracing a top priority of Republicans after former President Donald Trump’s false claims that his reelection was stolen.
Another one of the reasons we will never spend another vacation $ in Florida again!
Every actual case of voter fraud uncovered since DeSantis got his personal brown shirt brigade has been committed by Republicans. Tr*mp’s own chief of staff registered to vote in THREE different states. Voter suppression and intimidation disguised as law enforcement is a dictator’s dream.
“Minister: June 5th, 1958. Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband for better or worse, in sickness & health, to love & obey, to be his help-mate, build him up when he’s down, bear his children, send his pants to the cleaners, pick his underwear up off the floor, hold a job that’ll bring in a little extra money but which won’t absorb you to the point where you won’t be able to have supper ready at six o’clock every night, & cleave to him only ’til death do you part?”- Gretchen Cryer, 1978, I’m Getting My Act Together & Taking It On The Road
& weren’t all the cases perpetrated by republicans?
“won’t stand for ANY voter fraud”Unless his side is the one doing it you mean. That’s why he’s making it harder for minorities to vote and eager to take people off voter registries for any reason and demand tribute to go back on. Remember voter suppression is voter fraud.
“Voter fraud” is not only the biggest “straw man” in political history but Republicans are just as likely to commit the few cases that do occur.
They could work for the Space Force too.
Trump lost. Get over it.
Maybe he can pick up a second job checking middle school students’ underwear in the restrooms.
Another republican political stunt. They do try to entertain though…
His job hasn’t begun yet. He is there to intimidate voters, wait for November
Hopefully in prison!
Republicans have redefined “voter fraud” as “not voting for Republicans”.
The four cases were republican.
I wonder how many tax $ have been wasted due to these shenanigans with Republicans claiming fraud where there is little to none?
For continuity, see https://www.gocomics.com/doonesbury/1997/06/01 where Mike and Kim return home and their story continues.
DeSantis is just a bit ahead of the curve on this one.
Even worse, all 4 cases were committed by people who voted RepubliKlan.
Things have not been going well for Governor DeSatan.
I knew when I read my local paper’s Doonesbury (an innocuous one of Zipper Harris getting a grade in college) that it was a replacement for something that they didn’t want to print!
Maybe he can get reassigned to policing the “Don’t Say Gay” law in elementary schools.
I just wanna know when DeathSentence is gonna put those RepubliKKKans from the Villages in prison for voter fraud.
All true, but Arizona is the biggest offender;not Florida.
As a native Floridian, can I just say in our defense that most of our voting morons are actually retirees imported from New York and New Jersey?
