Teckno-geek here, but would not having the RAM CACHE external instead of on the internal buses slow things down quite a bit?

That’s why we have children, so they can figure out and explain what all this new-fangled electronic equipment is and how to use it.

I worked in a computer shop in 1994, back then we assembled our systems, a basic system was a 486 SLC25 no math processor a mouse keyboard, monitor and DOS, no windows, we had a idiot sales person who didn’t tell customers that they had to buy the windows package separately and the day after Christmas we were inundated with angry customers, “my kid turned on the computer and nothing happened you ruined his/her Christmas” it was something I’ll never forget…lol

Just think of all the Christmas’s to come you have to disappoint her with the latest and greatest computer on the market that will be obsolete in a trice. Soon, (time flies), she will be asking for a lap top.

Then as now, wait six months and it will be half the price or twice as fast.

I got my youngest a trampoline for her birthday. That’s one of the rare times she was delighted with no complaints.

Since these are all reruns anyway, why didn’t they choose to rerun this one in December instead of April?

She’s not old enough to recognize that this totally normal and nostalgic Christmas is the best that any child cold get or hope for.

Just promise her the RAM for her Birthday.

Or, maybe for Valentines, whichever comes first.
