Mike: Me like these numbers! Not a bad year, not bad at all! I'm not proud of it, but holding the line on minimum wage for our fulfillment folks made the difference. Kim: We don't pay them minimum wage. Mike: We don't? Kim: Nope. We've been paying them $15 an hour since last January. Morale, productivity, and retention rates all shot up, and they're even shopping on our site. That's why we had a profitable year. Mike: Good strategy. I'll stay focused on inventory. Kim: Sounds like a plan.
