He could for defamation over the description of him but it’d be worse publicity for Trumpet than GT besides satire is to speak truth to the powerful. GT said in an interview that he couldn’t be satirical toward Obama because Obama is too moderate to fund anything to satirize.

Pardon my ignorance, but… who is the caller?

What’s there to sue for? As a public figure, commentary on The Donald enjoys almost complete protection from libel or slander suits, under the First Amendment. See NYTimes v.Sullivan, US Supreme Court.

Besides, if it’s an accurate description, how can it be libel/slander?

I have never, for the life of me, been able to comprehend WHY Donald Trump is, in any way, shape or form, newsworthy. Why is it news when the man opens his mouth and says words? Why does it matter that he has an opinion about something? Why does anyone care? I’m not being facetious. Why? Who decided that this silly man was someone whose words and actions constitute news?

But…why are we even outraged at all? Why does it MATTER that this man says stupid stuff? Why does anyone care? Who is he, after all? Some estate tycoon. So what? Is he a politician? No. Is he a pundit? No. Is he an educator? No. (That “Business School” doesn’t count.) Is he a literary figure? No. (“Art of the Deal” doesn’t count either.)

So who is he? Why does he matter? Because the media says so. WHY does the media say so?

I mean, I can say stupid stuff, too. Look at me! I’m sayin’ stupid stuff! Why not pay attention to me? Maybe I wanna run for president too! Why is no one paying attention to ME? They might as well. It’d make about the same amount of sense. =)

I like him because he’s so stupid! He’s a living caricature. Lampooning him like this is almost redundant.

Of course, say what you want about him. He says and does a lot for the attention. But one thing I can say, look at his kids. Have you seen them really screw up? On drugs? Jailed? Much negative at all? Of course, I’m sure the maternal influence is a big factor in that, but his kids have done well so far. Particularly his daughter, Ivanka. She is pretty level-headed, seems to be great mother and pretty sharp business woman.

Well…he did say he was suing Maher for claiming that he was the bast@rd son of an orangutan(g). Maher said igain the next wek.

Definition of a loser: anyone who confuses the name Trump with class...

Why does he get publicity? Because the lame media always need a go to person for a quick and available quote and will justify that quote saying that speaker is a “expert” or “leader” or whatever will justify their not seeking out a real leader or expert or whatever.

Usage check … should it be “piggy” or “piggish” eyes? And regardless, shouldn’t the whole porcine community come together to protest this slur on their brethren and sistren?

I don’t know why Mark has such trouble finding a partner. He’s an awesome guy, and handsome too.

I’m still waiting for what his supposed people found out when he “sent” them to Hawaii to keep the birthers revved up. I agree that he should not get any attention at all.

I noticed when I moved away from NY to Bos, the “news” about the Comb Over was non-existent.

Can’t point out everything in a typical newsday, man. How about all of the Muslims being killed in Middle East wars? Does that bother you or are christians all that matter to you? This is a comic strip, pal, not freakin’ CNN.

Any other paper publishing only the last 6 panels of the Sunday strip like the Minneapolis StarTribune has been (for at least 3 weeks now)?I don’t read this strip there, but it became obvious, when the first 2 panels of this strip were missing.

Garry Trudeau has the same thing in common with Donald Trump in that neither one has been relevant in many years. And neither one is especially funny, but in Trump’s case that’s intentional.

Why is Trump always in the news? What did Tevye say?“When you’re rich, they think you really know.”And he pretends to be really rich, therefore, he must know something we don’t.

I never watch trump’s show, since I see him more than enough as it is.comedians like him.

I really miss Pat Paulsen. They just don’t make fake candidates like they used to.
