Gotta love the inconsistency of Mike’s hair, though. Haha.

It is tough to draw babies unless they are swaddled and/or wearing a bonnet or something. Maybe breastfeeding didn’t work out for Alex. That happens sometimes. No pressure, Alex. Let someone else feed once in a while and go get some sleep dear…congrats, Mazel tov and all that other stuff!

Amazing how such an entirely non-political episode causes so many fights! (Also depressing…….) I think the comic strip with the most characters was probably “Pogo.” Often characters would pop in after years of not appearing, picking right up where they left off. Of course, nobody aged in “Pogo”, so there is a big difference. (“Doonesbury” characters never aged as realistically as “Gasoline Alley” characters did, and there was a definite fudge factor for both, of course.)

There are no hormones in ink, true. There are also no pregnancies in ink, for that matter. One could refer to any number of things which do not really exist in comic strips. This is merely a comment section, a place in which one can talk about ideas and things which are happening in the real world. I am happy for those who wish to breastfeed. There are some who find that it doesn’t work out and this does not make them less than anyone else, however.

“Richard, your hate, bigotry, and ignorance are showing. The informed people all know that NAZIs are extreme left”

Thanks Sarge, for demonstrating clearly how you really do have everything exactly backwards: Nazism and other fascist movements are extreme right wing – look it up anywhere. I’ll make it easy and spare you the mental challenge by spoon feeding you some knowledge pablum first…“It is a variety of fascism that incorporates biological racism and antisemitism. Nazism developed from the influences of pan-Germanism, the far-right Völkisch German nationalist movement and the anti-communist Freikorps paramilitary culture… Major elements of Nazism have been described as far-right, such as allowing domination of society by people deemed racially superior, while purging society of people declared inferior, who were said to be a threat to national survival”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazism">Nazism-wikipedia

More generally on fascism: “Hostile to liberal democracy, socialism, and communism, fascist movements share certain common features, including the veneration of the state, a devotion to a strong leader, and an emphasis on ultranationalism, ethnocentrism, and militarism. Fascism views political violence, war, and imperialism as a means to achieve national rejuvenation and asserts that nations and races deemed superior should attain living space by displacing ones deemed weak or inferior.Fascist ideology consistently invoked the primacy of the state.”Fascism-widipedia

Seriously, I have to ask: did you drop out of school at grade six? This would be covered in ANY state or provincial junior or senior high history/social studies curricula, anywhere in North America. The sky is blue, not beige, and your renaming things to suit your own fancy does not make it so. Fascism is not a far left-wing/socialist movement, it is far right. You could not be more wrong here. Although like all extremist movements, they do share the trait of authoritarianism. Remind you of your party of choice – perhaps it’s obsession with regulating morality and controlling women’s bodies, despite supposedly championing individual liberty and choice?

From conservative columnist Erick Erickson of redstate.com:-You Think Obama Stole the Election? Then Read ThisBy: streiff (Diary) | November 29th, 2012 at 09:57 AM | 150

We try hard to be a serious website where serious-minded people can interact and a website that can be read and quoted in the media and in political circles without people laughing and pointing. You can’t do that when your comments section is infested with people espousing various conspiracy theories.

RedState has never been simpatico to conspiracy theories. In our history we’ve dealt with 9-11 Troofers and Birfers and all manner of believers in the omnipresence of Opus Dei, the Bilderbergers, the Illuminati, and, of course, the Jews and their ability to manipulate world events. Our response is to ban them on sight.

This last election was a hard loss of all of us, even those of us who were never Romney fans. I think we all realized the limitless ability to harm the nation that Barack Obama and his minions represents. Be that as it may, the people have spoken (the bastards) and we are saddled with this guy for another four years.

If we are going to move beyond this we have to face the facts. We were out hustled. They turned out their base and we couldn’t be bothered to turn out ours, much less do what it takes to win uncommitted voters. We lost. They won. And the nation will suffer because of it.

What did not happen was any “stealing” of the election. No one denies that there were irregularities in some places but the sum total of the allegations do not reach Kennedyesque proportions where they actually affected the outcome in any material way. This is nonsense and just as silly when people on our side make the claim as when the left howled about Diebold machines giving the 2004 election to President George W. Bush (President… George… W. … Bush, my gosh that sounds so beautiful today).

So, heads up. We have made a decision that we will, henceforth and forever, treat those who claim Obama won the 2012 election via shenanigans in the polling place the same way we treat troofers and birfers. We will immediately ban them. We don’t have time to shoot down these arguments every time the appear because they have been definitively refuted on many occasions. If you hold this exotic view and are feeling all butthurt, too bad. Life isn’t fair. If life was fair we’d be anticipating the inauguration of President Mitt Romney Rick Perry and watching the Obama’s pack the U-Haul.

“Just watch how easily China moves to a more Fascist state with little change except those who were protected are now allowed to fall to total rock bottom poor while a few become millionaires..”?China has always been run by dictatorship. The leaders have always been more interested in retaining power than helping others.Interestingly, though, the Chinese government has decided to abandon their command economic concepts and allowed a demand one to grow. As a result the average person in China is far better off than was dreamed a generation ago.-(We don’t like it because it takes away from our power, but the people who have come up out of abject poverty appreciate it.)-Much of the improvement is that the government has come to realize people work harder and smarter if they stand to personally gain from their labors.
