Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau for August 16, 1972
Mark: Forgive me for being so nosey, Dr. Kissinger, but why are you taking a bus to work? Henry: To save money, boy! The federal-budget won't allow for luxuries like taxis. Mark: Say, doc, I'll bet you could save a bundle if you just ended the war. Henry: Hmm...say, that's not such a bad idea...as a matter of fact that's a terrific idea! Why didn't I think of that? You know, we could probably save a few lives to boot! What a great idea! Mark: You live kind of a sheltered life, don't you, doc?
