The guy in the cap’s thinking, “I’m glad I remember some of my junior high Spanish, so I don’t have to talk to these morons.” Burl will end up trying his. “Usted sabe donde la buffet?” They will be directed to the local alligator farm.

Burl will probably fill up on watered down gas, it’s bound to be cheaper.

They may be very annoying and not very bright, but they do a lot of things together with other people and travel a lot more than I do these days.

A map of the Indy 500? Wouldn’t that be like an oval? This numb nuts probably would get lost on a loop.

They are on Route 41 so they could be almost anywhere… How long is US 41 in miles? As of 2020, US 41 measures 2010.8 miles in length. Its midway point is right in downtown Nashville TN. US 41 is among the routes originally commissioned in 1926. It goes from the southern tip of Florida thru the UP of Michigan, but nowhere near Mexico…!

The fact that the destination of their road trip is Nebraska speaks volumes.
