Actually the bigger problem with videos is that with images the producer can transfer emotions subconsciously in ways that words alone can not. As an example, consider a war story about the conquest of some town, and imagine the same story being read. In one version the background pictures contain bleeding victims and mutilated corpses. In a different version you see the victors celebrating, and the liberated people cheering. Is either story wrong? Or, are both correct? How should you feel about the conquest when you watch it? By contrast, when you read the written word, attempts to slant the story are somewhat more transparent.
