Since we can’t see the head it could be Porky in drag, just put on the appropriate nose. What if those are real good imitation jewels ?  I can a very steamed Fleegle, later at his lair where under more intense scrutiny he learns they are fake. :-D

Actually, you should go back to the Bugs Bunny cartoon “The Big Snooze”. Invading Elmer’s dream, Bugs slaps sexy drag on him and summons three Hollywood wolves. Of related interest, the comic strip “Piranha Club” featured a singer named “Moe-Donna”, who looked like Moe and treated her boyfriends like Curly.

I really liked the Warren Beaty movie, but I thought Madonna was terrible in it.

Neat to see a new Fearless Fosdick adventure. Wonder if Lil Abner will pop up to enjoy it.

Where’s Avenger09? Maybe he’s resting up this week in preparation for the new story. Also, I miss Phantomfire and firestrike! I’m beginning to feel like the Torcher missing all of this fire…

The second panel is interesting. In the 1970-71 story featuring Pouch and Chameleon, Tracy sets a trap for Chameleon, who is a jewel thief, by circulating a story that a rich actress wearing loads of diamonds will be visiting the city. Lizz poses as the actress. The Jan 22, ’71 strip has a scene very similar to this, with Lizz made up and flashing diamonds and other jewelry, while the paparazzi and newsmen crowd around taking photos.

Kinda looks like Elmer Fudd gave up on the wabbit and has gone Trans…….

Muted is the word for the color today. Comparing with the same strip from 2016:

Muted, mute, mutation, mutilated… okay, I’m getting carried away with that. Almost every color is far more muted today than the colors from 2016… except:

1. The actress in the rear in P1 has been colored in instead of being blended into the background.

2. Fuddonna’s dress has changed from blue to red (also, the makeup to match).

3. The man in the foreground in P1 is now wearing a bright red tie.

I get the idea that today’s colorist loves red as an accent color. It’s interesting that the red outfits of Tracy and FF have been so muted so as not to have too much red although they are our main characters. Perhaps it gives the idea that they are blending in as being undercover.

The mass of yellow diamonds is far less interesting than the white ones with cool blue shading on some of the facets from 2016. We can also tell the difference between the gold setting and the central diamond. Interestingly, today’s reminds me of the huge gold necklaces in the souks in Saudi Arabia. Some of those have diamonds, but you get more of just a gold wash over the whole thing. Either way, it’s all opulent sparkle.

just leaving the word that I’ll be back after this Dick/Fosdick crossover is over and then I’ll be back… I’ve read it already when it first came out and have no interest in rehashing it… I’m alright and fine, just taking a bit of a short hiatus from Dick, so I didn’t want to raise any fears as to my whereabouts… so I’ll see you fellow inmates shortly after this winds down in a few days and then I shall be back with my brand of ‘business as usual’… so til then, don’t burn the place down in my absence… I need a place to come back to after dealing with the outside world… and this are my last few words for now…
