I think the satchel actually had $10,000 in it when it was stolen, but the other $3,000 was stealing their own money which may not be an actual crime in itself. (Claiming it on the insurance is another matter, though. )

Looks like Little Margie may be off the hook for now.

TRACYTOWN CRIMINALS TEXTBOOK Lesson #12: When Not to Hide in Plain Sight While most people probably wouldn’t give the satchel a second glance, trained professionals – like cops – see a red flag large enough to wrap up the Three Margies. This is why aspiring antagonists search out back doors, windows, storerooms, phone booths… oops, sorry (that’s one of the super heroes’ “bits”). Look, amateurs, your job is hard enough with Tracy and Catchem cruising the streets; there are times to be skulking about, and criminal evidence on your person is absolutely one of them. Why make it easy for the authorities?

How stupid is it for BM to carry the “Satchel” around for all the world to see? Even little Martin would know to hide it in a bag.

Shouldn’t Tracy have said; “Stolen from Brian Miller with the $10,000 in it?”

It’s a huge leap for him to assume the $3,000 rent money came from the prize. That would mean he’s already found her guilty.

Another one of my imaginary mistakes?

“Identical” you say, Tracy? That must mean that Brian showed you a picture with the satchel. Otherwise, something like “which matches the description” would be more accurate.

Actually………I-F the Margies use their head, them SAYING Little Margie found it in the trash – perfectly verifiable – and they were bringing it in to Tracy to help with the case would explain THAT, pretty easily……although throwing it away in your own trash bin was pretty stupid on MIDDLE Margies part to begin with…..

Here’s hoping Tracy & Sam come out of the car blasting away, putting the Margies out of all our misery.

As for the “$7000” issue, I suppose Tracy’s oblique remark is just reflective of what Brian Miller told them, which may have emphasized—as it probably did—his own contribution to the purse and his own loss. Otherwise, I think earlier Comments have covered all of today’s salient points. I might only point out the confrontation between panel 1 (the Good Guys) and panel 2 (the literally opposing Criminals)….

Closing in on 100 for the 5th straight day, I think.
