I’ve heard of dieting that way, although just using a smaller plate makes more sense, and is less wasteful. One thing I wish I would have thought of as a young kid is saying something like…“I’m leaving the peas on my plate in honor of kids who are in need.” It wouldn’t have worked, but the sentiment would have been appreciated.
