Friends of mine have had a broken doorbell for some time now. When I show up at their house, I text them, “ding-dong”, or “doorbell”.

I hate it when that happens. I once put Spanish batteries in my answering machine, at least it suddenly started displaying the caller ID info in Spanish. The letters were right side up at least.
