Had a girlfriend who got so mean when she hadn’t eaten, that I and her kids threatened to make a In Case of Hunger Break Glass box with a sandwich in it.

I don’t understand panels 3 and 4. That fire wasn’t in a case, and neither was the glass he broke.

With his quick thinking, he narrowly avoided starting a horse fire…!

So, I wonder…where does the fire go after it’s exited?

If your house was on fire and you could only take one thing out, what would you take? The fire of course. (Not original to me but I can’t remember the source)

Beside the elevator at work there was a “Break Glass in Case of Fire” box with a little hammer connected to it with a small chain. It didn’t take long for some SOB to steal the hammer.

When breaking the glass doesn’t work……..

On one of the Mad magazine thick specials, the bonus section had stamps. One of them said “In case of fire break glass. Not now stupid, in case of fire”. The joke I’m sure of, the context of the Mad item I may have gotten wrong.

now that is taking the statement FIRE EXIT literally.

Moronic humor, sometimes its very absurdity is funny.
