New math, Horace-style.

Eight is more than enough…

Horace is up for a game of “Crazy Eights”.

Well, at least he’s getting close: 3×8=8+8+8. So if the sheep adds the plus signs in the next panel, Horace might actually solve this one.

Sheep can count to 3, but he can’t count to 8? So number 8 represents him just a symbol, which has 2 rings one upon the other. 3 times a symbol (which means him nothing) is for him of course then 3 symbols.

Sheep aren’t very good at math. Whenever they try to figure out how many of them there are, they fall asleep.

Horace, it’s one thing to count imaginary sheep when you’re going to sleep; it’s another to count ON imaginary sheep for your math lessons.
