After years of studying and research
I have finally come to the conclusion: Ima slow reader
Chewing every paragraph thirty times slows me down.
Reading slowly lets you savour every scrap and morsel of the book; its diction, intonation, and articulation.
“I took a speed-reading course and read War and Peace in twenty minutes. It involves Russia.” – Woody Allen
So, who’s in a hurry?
“I finally got around to reading the dictionary. Turns out the zebra did it.” (Steven Wright):BTW, I like those glasses on Horace; they make him look like Mr. Peabody.
Samson, you’ve changed panel 2 and 3?
He’s reading for jest not reading for gist…
“Ever since I took the Evelyn Woodhead Sped Riddin’ course, my riddin’ has im-PROV-ed one hunert percent . . . and “comprenshun” has increased “won-der-full-lee”. I recommend the Evelyn Woodhead Sped Riddin’ course to all mah friends out there, and you tell ’em you heard it here first on Roller Derby."
