This is why James Bond takes so many risks; he thinks that you only live twice.

“You only live once” would seem to be a warning not a permit for stupidity. Yes you should try things that are risky. After you train, practice at lesser levels, gather the best protective gear on the market and know exactly how to handle thing when the wheels come off.

I’ve ridden motorcycles that way for 35 years. And loved it.

Calculated risk is fine. Risk for the sake of risk is kinda stupid..Some years ago I was driving a jeep on a short stretch narrow rotten road between a wall to the left and a cliff to the right. Without warning, the car is being pulled to the right and I end up fighting a battle with the steering wheel to stay on the road and to get to get back to better road. My thought while driving it was that the road was falling off into the void to the right. .Turns out a $#^*UEJ^& tire decided to blow. Wonderful timing. Ripped to shreds after it blew. then I learned how much fun it is to change a tire on a slope (flattest ground I could find, but that doesn’t say much).
