When I moved inland to SW VA from the NYC metro region, I was crazed by the sunrise coming well after 6AM. And that was IF there was any sun. Typically we get “graylight” for an hour. Or 2. . ..

Only an hour or two? Pfftttt…Greylight in Oregon can last for days.

Even I’d shine for that!

Don’t give coffee to that hurricane out in the Atlantic right now! It’d go straight to category 10!

DSOTH just brightened my day. :)

I thought of DocT’s WFNC too. And the comments made me remember a factoid that Great Britain (parts only?) is far enough north that in high summer, the sun never properly gets far enough below the horizon to be full “night”; it’s at best twilight.

I seldom drink any coffee, but as winter approaches (while we still suffer 110F) and sunrise is so late, I dislike it- I like to wake up by at least 5 with some sun.

Sun’s starting to rise later here, too.
