“But…But…But… $15 an hour would cut FAR INTO our profit margins, and we’d have to lay off HUNDREDS…”
CEO’s have better representation. A complicit Board of Directors.
That’s why we need a better minimum wage and an income ceiling as well.
What happens when you put a CEO at the bottom of the ocean?
The Lawyers start looking for a new neighborhood to Gentrify.
$15/hr? That’s so last decade!
Just what I needed, another Socialist tract. Or is it a Union pitch?
Time for a new cartoon
Going to delete you from my list. This post is way past old.
More than a month, now.
every job requires a skill let’s see some CEO go in to McDonald’s then flip out burgers as fast as the kid that’s behind let’s see some CEO go in to McDonald’s then flip out burgers as fast as the kid that’s behind the counter
Has Dan retired? He hasn’t posted a new cartoon either here or on arcamax in over a month.
I can’t find anything about his absence, but he’s still listed on the Boston Globe site’s contributor pages. My search also led me to Twitter – where he hasn’t posted since Mar 31, then suddenly 3h ago replied to a tweet. So maybe he’s coming back, or maybe dailycartoonist.com is right when he says “it seems Dan . . . has retired with no fanfare.”
When Marxist socialists comment they forget about the jobs that are created by these greedy corporations and the taxes they pay. They want what the greedy capitalists have without earning it. What makes our country great is working hard to succeed.
March 23? Really?
Why don’t liberals ever pick on professional athletes or entertainers? It’s easier to attack evil CEOs.
We’re coming on three months since this cartoon was first published. Is everything all right?
Has Wasserman retired? Died? Been dropped from GO Comics? If so, tell me so I can delete him from the lineup.
I’ve read it every day since it was first published and thought that he encapsulated the great disparity in wealth in one beautiful panel. Please return soon, sir, we need your clarity.
Dan Wasserman was class of 1971 at Swarthmore College. I suspect he has retired, being about 71 at this point.
Something amiss here? Dan’s been gone four months. Hope it’s retirement and not something WORSE…
