Well, it wouldn’t be nearly as big a problem as it is if 45X had not spent an entire year doing everything he could to undermine preventative measures, abuse, intimidate and have threatened those who tried to do things to help and avoiding any effort at all to plan for vaccine distribution. And he gets no credit for “warp speed”. That would have happened with or without him, but he made sure to cost us many potentially saved lives by forcing everyone to focus on his treasonous attempt to overturn democracy instead of getting organized to fight this beast.

OK, “I take no responsibility at all” vs “..this is going to be hard but we can get through this.” The cartoon depicts an utter failure sitting on his can criticizing someone that is just starting to get to work actually doing something.
President Biden enters often looking for some sort of plan for vaccine distribution to the States. Instead he discovered there was no plan. Just let the States figure it out as trump plotted to overthrow the election causing an insurrection at the US Capitol. Now President Biden had to start from scratch and I’m impressed at how quickly he’s doing buying an additional 2M doses of the vaccine. They have an ambitious goal to getting up to 1.5M Americans vaccinated daily expecting everyone to be fully vaccinated by the end of Summer and reaching herd immunity by early Fall. No one ever said being President was easy but with trump he just ignored the crisis and spent more time golfing and tweeting than addressing the crisis seriously. If he had retained the Office he never should’ve had there would be even more dead Americans than we’ll get under President Biden
