What exactly is the boy even being taught in school if he doesn’t know what metaphors, analogies, and correlations are?

For better or worse my parents strictly regulated television watching for my brother and myself, we didn’t have any video games and the closest we came was playing pin ball. Yeah, I’m old.

Got curious about the saying, and looked it up. There were a lot of explanations, mostly sports related; easy billiard shots, bowling pins all in a line, etc. From what I found though, “ducks in a row” means just that, ducks in an organized pattern, easily managed by mama duck. So ducks, rather than be left out of it, in this case, are the only things that should be in it.

We have a son-in-law who has these statements throw him for a loop. Oh, I did it again.

Every time I think I have my ducks in a row, someone adds more.
